Below are some personal testimonies that came in from some of the rebels after our crusade in a rebel controlled village of Congo called Bushinga.  God is so good!

My name is Byamungu Claude.  I am from Bushinga and I am part of a group called Wazaloendo Army (the local rebel group in Bushinga).  I used to smoke weed, steal from people at night, and rape women along with other rebels in our group.  After the crusade, I made the decision to separate myself from my old friends.  Since then I have stopped all of that bad behavior.  I approached the local pastor and he is now teaching me the bible and now I know God loves me.

My name is Mugingi Stratonie.  I have 6 children.  I do not live near my family, which is on another mountain about a six hour walk away.  I live in the Bushinga camp of rebels.  I used to rape women all the time and I was a drunkard.  I would hang out at a bar and drink every night.  After drinking we would all block off the road from Rurambo mountain.  Then we would grab women from the market, pull them into a hiding place, and rape them.  After I was prayed over at the crusade, my heart was touched and I have now stopped doing all those bad things.

My name is Sikujuwa Moise.   I am a motorcycle driver during the day.  But every night after driving, I would join the Wazaloendo Army.  We would rape women and sometimes even beat them after raping them.  The pastor told us to attend the crusade, but I did not attend on the first day.  I ended up attending on the second day.  When the mzungu (Dawn) gave the word of God and prayed for us, I confessed in my heart and immediately stopped doing all those bad things.  God has helped me to stop drinking and stop smoking weed.  My chains were broken.

My name is Bakareke Barinda and I am from Bushinga.  I have 2 wives and 9 children.  One wife lives in Myakabere village with 4 of my children and the other wife lives with me in Bushinga with my 5 children.  I was addicted to alcohol and would beat my wife.  After attending the crusade, hearing the word of God, and hearing how much God loves me, I stopped beating my wife.  Now I am a Christian and attend the local church.

My name is Mondere Reziki and I am part of the Wazaloendo Army.  I hated people and I would steal things from them.  I would do this in my village of Bushinga as well as a village called Ndorera.  I also raped many women.  But when I heard there was a crusade, I decided to come with my wife.  During a prayer for healing my wife's back got healed.  After I saw that happen, I commanded my heart to stop doing all those bad things and I decided to give my life to Jesus.

My name is Mapenze Romifique.  I am part of the Wazaloendo Army.  I was a drunkard, smoked weed and raped women.  I attended the crusade but was suprised to see a mzungu woman in Bushinga.  I thought she was there to give us things like clothes and shoes similar to the other NGOs.  But I was surprised to hear the word of God about repentance from our sins.  After the first day of the crusade, I went back to my house and then decided to returned the second day.  The mzungu woman prayed for us and then I confessed my sins and made a decision to stop all those sins.

My name is Sarumani and I am part of the Wazaloendo Army.  I have 4 children.  I was addicted to raping women, especially at night.  But after being prayed for at the crusade from the mzungu (Dawn) my heart was touched and I stopped raping women.  Praise the Lord!

My name is Rondora Claude and I have 2 children.  I drive motorcycles to make a living.  I was addicted to alcohol, smoking weed and raping women.  I thank God for the crusade in Bushinga.  I heard the word of God from the mzungu (Dawn) and my heart changed so I stopped doing all those things.

My name is Bakareke Nastase and I am part of the Wazaloendo Army group.  I thank God for changing my life.  I was involved in prostitution and drank a lot of alcohol.  After hearing the word of God during the crusade, I was touched and now I am saved.  I stopped all the prostitution and stopped drinking alcohol.

My name is Ndikurinda Nakinga and I am from Bushinga.  Before being saved at the crusade, I hated people.  I would steal things from people and rape young girls.  But during the crusade, I confessed my sins and the mzungu (Dawn) prayed with me.  From that time on, I stopped all that bad behavior.

My name is Birikana Joseph from Burera (a village mountain near Bushinga).  I was a robber.  I would wait around at night with a gun and steal things from people.  But after hearing the word of God at the crusade, I made a decision to stop stealing and now I regularly attend church.
