Kenya Prison Outreach 2024
In a remote corner of Kenya, near the Somalia border, God opened an extraordinary door for our team. Our mission led us to a prison housing 100 male inmates, most of which were Muslims. But as we shared the message of Jesus, something remarkable happened: hearts softened, and many men made the life-changing decision to surrender to the Lord.
The Holy Spirit moved powerfully within those walls. Despite the harsh environment, the men’s responses were overwhelming, and the presence of God felt tangible. In a place filled with chains and restrictions, we witnessed spiritual freedom. These men, many of whom had never truly encountered God’s love before, received the gospel message with open hearts, eager for a fresh start.
A few days after our visit, we received a call from one of the prison guards. He shared that the prisoners were deeply encouraged by our time with them. For some, our visit represented a turning point, a beacon of hope in the midst of uncertainty. The guard relayed the prisoners’ hopes for our return, showing us just how impactful one visit can be.
Our visit reminded us that the Lord’s love reaches far beyond any walls. These men, though confined physically, were touched by the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ. We left that prison with full hearts, and the assurance that God's work there has only just begun.
