Congo Rebel Outreach 2024
Our recent outreach in Congo was an incredible testimony of God’s power to bring light into even the darkest places. Over three days, our team shared the message of hope with 70 rebels who had been living lives marked by violence and hardship. In a profound move of the Holy Spirit, 63 of them publicly came forward, committing their lives to Christ and turning toward a future of peace and purpose.
These men, once bound by lives of rebellion, experienced true deliverance in the name of Jesus. Their testimonies spoke of freedom from burdens they had carried for years – burdens of fear, guilt, and hopelessness. Some shared powerful encounters with God that left them feeling a peace and joy they had never known. Even after our time with them ended, we continued hearing stories of transformation, as God began a work of renewal in their lives.
Alongside the outreach to these men, we also held a training seminar for village pastors. Understanding the need for spiritual leadership in these communities, we gathered pastors from the surrounding villages and provided practical teaching on basic theology, discipleship, and spiritual warfare. It was vital to equip these pastors with the tools they need to nurture new believers and to shepherd their congregations in a region that faces unique challenges.
The training was well-received, and we saw an eagerness among these pastors to deepen their knowledge and lead with wisdom. The discussions on spiritual warfare were particularly impactful, as many pastors shared stories of spiritual opposition in their ministries. Through this training, we reinforced their understanding of God’s authority and the power of prayer.
This mission was a powerful reminder that no one is beyond God’s reach and that His grace is limitless. We are incredibly grateful for the lives changed, the pastors equipped, and the seeds planted in Congo. As we move forward, we continue to pray for lasting transformation in these communities and for God’s love to take root in every heart touched by this outreach.
